God is calling ~ Are we answering?
Well, for years, I wasn’t. I would see this big church on the way to and from work. It was positioned right off the interstate. God was speaking to my heart every time. Asking me to return, seek Him and learn about Him and the relationship He seeks.
God kept prompting me more and more. Then I discovered family members were part of this church…. WHAT??? who knew??? I didn’t, that was for sure. So…. I went one Sunday with C in tow. Signed him into the kids section to learn about God on his level and I went to the sanctuary and learned about God on my level. That day ~ my heart felt peace for the first time in a long time. My heart felt at home. My spirit was rejoicing in the presence of the MOST HIGH!
And we have been attending and learning, praising and worshiping… ever since. Let me tell you, it feels so good.
Along the way, I have learned that I am a young Jesus follower and I must “eat” on the Word of God in order to grow into the mature Jesus follower God intends for me to become. Building my faith day by day, growing in knowledge and faith in God’s word, faithfulness and promise.
I can picture myself as a bookworm working my way through the bible and learning about the relationship that God has always intended for us as His children to have with Him, and ultimately on the big day when my purpose is fulfilled, I will become this beautiful “butterfly”, with vibrant colors that only God can create and fully understand this life of mine.
John 1:10-13 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
