As we are 2 weeks from celebrating Thanksgiving, thoughts of what I am thankful for have been flittering through my mind. I know there are so many things I am truly thankful for, but the same ones keep flittering by……
I am so very thankful for family and friends. Fellowship and relationships are what we were created for. God is amazing that way. We were meant to lift each other up and share the Gospel with everyone we meet.
My relationship with God is the most important relationship. Through that relationship is how all others flow. My relationship with Him becomes the foundation for all others to sprout and grow and even terminated. God provides a way to bring people in my life who will teach me, guide me, grow my faith or for me to do that for them. He also provides a way to remove toxic people from my life. I may not appreciate at the time those brought in my path or removed from my path, but the bigger picture is God’s purpose and He sees it all.
I am so very thankful for God’s provision promises and fulfillment over and over again. He is such a magnificent God. Beyond any of my imaginings. He is AMAZING. Recently, I had another fulfillment and I felt deflated in my reaction. I felt like I wasn’t praising Him enough or jumping high enough or screaming in joy loud enough. I felt like I was failing my loving and powerful God.
Over decorating birthday cookies, a friend who God definitely placed in my life for a purpose, gently informed me that she could hear the praise and exuberance in my voice. She gently reminded me that all these months, I KNEW that God would provide; I KNEW He was there with me. My trust in Him was without question and therefore I was NOT surprised when He fulfilled, yet again.
If I had been surprised, my trust and faith were lacking.
I expected BIG things from my GOD, and He provided.
Never thought of it in just that way.
